The Theory Of Intelligence

I don't know about you, but the conversation below makes A LOT of sense to me. I just had to post it. Anyway, a quick update for the month of April...taxes done...got the keys...went through several cabinet people and growing weary and tired and basically really frustrated (and this is before any work has started!!!)...work is equally as crazy...Ferrari's start has been apalling...so has Federer (but I am still supporting them)...also a very rainy start to the Formula One season (Sepang's race had to be stopped prematurely)...mum's birthday...swine flu (a week before I fly off)...a cancelled beach get-a-way...Sassorosso (which was just so so...ha ha ha...I just kill myself at times)...Yaki-Yaki (does NOT get the Leech's seal of approval)...Tenji (would probably not go back)...more futsal. Life has been good. Thank God for that!

"Well you see, Norm, it's like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells.. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

Good Friday

Why don't they understand,
Why can't they see,
Why are they crying in silence,
Why do they all have hearts broken,
It's not meant to be like this,
Why aren't they ALIVE,
Why have they not choosen love and hope and peace,
They could be running, flying, soaring with me,
But instead they have choosen to be chained,
They have choosen to endure the pain,
Pain that I can heal,
Pain that I can take away,
Just like I have taken all of it away,
Why can't they see...
There is another way,
And that way is ME,
I wait with open arms,
Saying pick me, choose me, love me
For I have picked you,
I have choosen you,
And I love you,
For all eternity.

Give Up? Never!

Some people use words too blatantly and obviously without thinking. And they do this under the misguided guise of, "I am only saying it for your own good." As if!
.
One of the things that I particularly dislike are these three words: JUST GIVE UP. I have one word in retalliation: NEVER. I believe in trying my darnest best if it is something that I am committed to...something I believe in. In the event that it does not work out and turns out not to be the best course of action, then I will graciously LET IT GO. But I will never give up. If there is a will, there IS a way. The way may be a longer one...a more twisty one...but merely giving up is never the key. So people may tell you to give up but don't you EVER do so without a fight!

Finally It's Here

Has there ever been ONE thing that you have waited FOREVER to have? The one thing that seemed like it would never materialised. You wait and wait and then one fine day, a call comes, "It is here!" The world stops spinning and you forget to breath. The hustle and bustle surrounding you dims into silence and the only audible sound is the beating of your heart.
.
Yup, I had a moment like that two days ago. It was a beautiful moment. It was a thankful moment. I thought that the day would never come. I sometimes felt weary...lost...and faith was all my hope could cling on to. Now I sigh with relief while frowning at the same time. One chapter has closed and another challenging one is opening. But I am not afraid. I take Your hand and step unto the freshly turned page. You take that first step with confidence and though my legs are a little shakey, I follow suit. I smile and shout, "BRING IT ON!"
